Pupils in the basic school are taught integrated science to learn the various fields of science in a holistic manner. The need to study integrated science in the school is as follows:

Understanding the concept of integrated science help the individuals, ie pupils to manage their lives as they grow and fit into the environment. For instance, the study of science will help individuals to make decisions on the choice of food that will assist in human growth and healthy living.

The study of science will create a path for young pupils to start their careers early. Students can gain equitable knowledge and later choose to become a scientist as his/her profession.
